MSPOA has two scholarship opportunities:
MSPOA Merit Based Scholarship
This is our traditional scholarship. MSPOA awards two scholarships of $1500 each, to either a graduating high school senior OR a current college student. The student must have the intention of pursuing a career in LOCAL law enforcement AND have a parent who is a current MSPOA member in good standing AND is employed by a Sheriff’s Office in the state of Montana. The scholarship is merit based.

MSPOA Scholarship for Children of MSPOA Members
This scholarship is an opportunity for children of MSPOA members.
A parent must be a current MSPOA member in good standing AND be employed by a Sheriff’s Office in the state of Montana.
Five (5) Scholarships of $1000 will be awarded to five separate members’ children. The scholarship recipients will be randomly chosen and are not merit based. The scholarship funds are for higher education and will be sent directly to the university/college in which the recipient is enrolled.
This is a small way for the board to support members.
